Select OS type in virt-manager

You might have been wondering why you have to choose an operating system (OS) type and version when creating a new VM in virtual machine manager. The reason is that virt-manager knows how to optimize the virtual machine settings for the specified OS. Therefore you should select your precise operating system and version and not leave this setting at generic. If you do set it to generic you should verify the configuration before starting the installation of the virtual machine.
